These stamps featured images from Norway’s oil industry – the Ekofisk centre, the Treasure Scout rig and Odin Viking supply ship on the far northern Tromsø Patch, the drill floor on the Neptuno Nordraug rig on the Træna Bank in the Norwegian Sea, and the tow-out of Statfjord C. Called Norwegian Working Life 1 , the sheet represented an innovation and had a print run of one million. The designs were created by Leif F Anisdahl.

The Statfjord C tow-out issue was listed as no 978 in the Norwegian postage stamp catalogue. World Post Day was celebrated on the platform by opening a post office there to sell its “own” stamp.
